1/22/05 - Tu Bishvat Celebration
Sat Night 7:30pm at Cong. Shomray Torah, 463 New Scotland Ave
in preparation for Tu Bishvat, Jewish New Year for Trees with presenters:
Gershom & Chasia Davis, immigrants from East Berlin, farmers in Rennsalear County, planning aliyah to Israel
Gershom and Chasia have many fascinating things to share, this talk will focus on gardening, planting and growth.
Larry Aronowitz of D. Brickman Produce Inc. of Menands NY
Mr. Aronowitz will share tips of how to tell if fruit is ripe, and how to ripen fruit.

Beth and Lewis Gray invite the Albany community to a Melava Malka with Rabbi Moshe Turk of the Jewish Heritage Center in Queens NY, beginning at 8pm Motzai Shabbos Parshas Yisro at Cong. Shomray Torah.
3/1/05 - Daf Yomi Talmud Completion and Celebration
The Page-A-Day Talmud Cycle, locally and throughout the world will finish its 11th cycle on this day. Come to Beth Abraham-Jacob for a satellite link-up celebrating together. Click here for details on this event Tuesday March 1st Maimonides "Live 'n Learn" is a co-sponsor of this important celebration of Jewish Learning.
3/7/05 - Klezmer Cafe and Raffle-Auction Viewing and Drawings
The annual Maimonides Raffle-Auction event will be held at Ohav Shalom, on Monday March 7th between 6:30 and 8:30pm. A delicious array of desserts and drinks, together with the inspiring and beautiful music of the Kleine Klezmer orchestra (based in Schenectady NY) will create a special cafe ambiance. No admission or food charge (aside for Raffle-Tickets) all are welcome!
3/25/05 - Purim Prunch in Troy
Purim this year falls on Friday, making the Purim Day meal a unique challenge. Here's a simple solution!
The entire Capital Region Jewish Community is invited to celebrate together at a Purim Prunch hosted by Cong. Beth Tephilah in Troy NY. Preceded by Megillah Reading, the festive Prunch will feature great food, a fire-house theme "Extinguish Haman!" all in costume will get a prize!
